Vom 16. bis 18. Oktober 2008 macht das 8. Bicycle Film Festival zum ersten mal in Zürich halt. Seit acht Jahren wandert das BFF durch die Städte der Welt wie New York, Tokio, Paris, London oder Mailand. Über den Sinn und Zweck des ganzen sagen die Organisatoren: „The Bicycle Film Festival celebrates the bicycle. We are into all styles of bikes and biking. What better way to celebrate these lifestyles than through art, film, music and performance? We bring together all aspects of bicycling together to advocate its ability to transport us in many ways. Ultimately the Fest is about having a good time.“
In Zürich bringt das Festival Filme (im Xenix), Kunst (u.a. bei Perla Mode an der Langstrasse), Parties und den „European Hardcourt Bike Polo Showdown“.
